I was born in London Ontario where I attended a French Immersion Elementary School. In high school I completed grade 12 French and also grade 12 German by taking it for credit on Saturday mornings.

One of my interests is other cultures and languages. That is why I took both Grade 12 French and German for credit. In the summer of 2010, I did a 6 week exchange to Germany where I attended school, spoke only German and experienced the culture.

One of my favourite sports is swimming. During Grade 12 and the following summer, I worked at the Stoney Creek branch of the YMCA as a lifeguard and a swimming instructor where I taught both children and adults how to swim and about water safety.

I also enjoy playing racquet sports. I enjoy the one against one competition and the feel that you solely control the game and are responsible if you win or lose. I play tennis, squash, ping pong and badminton.

An important passion of my life is music. I enjoy all music and played the trumpet in both my high school Senior Band and Senior Jazz Band, competing multiple times in the National Music Fest competitions. I also enjoy playing the piano and I make sure that no matter how busy I am, I play the piano at least once a week.
